My step grandmother Louise first introduced me to God when I was five. My father was an atheist, and being Jewish did not believe in Jesus. I was brought up by my step mother, and whilst she did the best for me, my childhood was dysfunctional.
I worked in hospitals and nursing homes and had a dream of building my own, as I had the passion for the sick and infirmed. This remains with me to this day. I achieved all my goals, but the higher the goal to build more hospitals, the less I spent with God. Whilst I prayed every night, I stopped going to church.
My calling came in 1971-73. When I was caring for the sick, my fingers would be on fire, as I prayed to Jesus for a patients healing. Through the Grace of Our Lord many were saved and healed. I became a Born Again Christian in 1984. I am guilty of backsliding on more than one occasion, but Our God is a forgiving God. I don’t make excuses for living a sinful life and making my goal money, it was purely greed. God finally brought me to my knees financially in 1992. Yes I had to learn the hard way!
Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters, either he will hate one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”
Matthew 6:25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food and the body more important than clothes?”
